The Black Isle

The Black Isle is a peninsula just North of Inverness of fertile land bordered by the Beauly and Moray Firth to the south, and the Cromarty Firth to the north. The Village of Beauly is a lovely place to visit that prides itself on its floral displays (a past winner of the Britain in Bloom competition) and there are other attractive villages with tourist facilities such as Dingwall, Cromarty and Munlochy. The area has become more popular in the last two decades thanks to the erection of the Kessock Bridge, joining the Black Isle with Inverness making it a 20 minute car journey from the city.
