Just a short walk from the Castle of Mey and adjoining the Mey Games Field, site of the traditional Highland Games in August, we offer spacious accommodation and stunning views across open countryside towards the cliffs of Dunnet Head ( Britain's most northerly mainland point). With the ferry to Orkney just 3 miles along the road, and John o'Groats 6 miles, we are ideally placed for exploring the Islands or starting or finishing your end-2-end adventure! Some of the nearby attractions include the wonderful Duncansbay Head, where you can see sea birds, seals and also the occasional orca passing by! Just a few miles down the road is the Caithness Distillery, where they make their own gin and vodka. We offer a selection of breakfast options from a simple continental style to full cooked Scottish breakfast to a more decadent smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, all prepared fresh to order. It is a very short walk to the local pub/hotel, who serve excellent evening meals. We have drying facilities for walkers, cyclists, or guests unlucky enough to be caught out by the Scottish weather! Guests who have been away from home for some time, may wish to use our laundry facilities too. Ample private parking and a shed to store cycles... and if you need any thing else to make your stay perfect, please just ask!

Things to know
Cancellation.
We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of the value of your first night's stay if you cancel within 14 days of your arrival and we are unable to re-let the room
Cleaning.
Rooms are available from 4pm but if you expect to arrive earlier, please just let us know and we will be available for you to come in and have a cup of tea. We ask that rooms be vacated by 10am to allow us to prepare for our next guests. Please note that pets are welcome to stay by arrangement for a small fee, please let us know if you are bringing a pet with you.
