Expand Search: All West Highland Way Accommodation (48)The West Highland Way is an unbroken 95 mile path from Milnagavie, on the outskirts of Glasgow, along the shores of Loch Lomond and up through Glencoe and Rannoch Moor to Fort William. It is well signposted throughout to the extent that a map is barely needed, is well populated with camp sites, hostels and bunkhouses. The scenery is a cross section of all the beauty of Scotland and you walk through the heart of Scotland's economic and cultural heritage. From Ardlui in the South to Bridge of Orchy (not far from Fort William) the railway tracks the path, so you can even bring the young and old.
There is not much difference between a Guesthouse and a Bed and Breakfast other than an implied larger and more professionally run establishment (though this is not always the case!). A guesthouse is more likely to have staff, a 24-hour reception and better facilities for guests than a Bed and Breakfast. They may or may not offer lunch and dinner.
