Discover Shetland

Located just beyond mainland Shetland, it is made up of ten parcels of land, eight of which are on Unst. The area is of special interest to geologists, botanists and birdwatchers

The Bonhoga Gallery at Weisdale Mill is a visual and applied art gallery in the Shetland Islands, displaying local, national, and international art and handicraft exhibitions. 

A late 16th-century tower house with circular towers at diagonally opposite corners. Muness has lovely architectural details.

The Clickimin Broch is a broch near the town of Lerwick in the Shetland Islands of Scotland. The broch was initially built on an island in the Clickimin loch before the loch silted up and was partially drained. Historic Scotland manages the site.

Mousa is 13m high and is the most impressive and surviving iron tower or branch in Scotland.

Fort Charlotte in the center of Lerwick in the Shetland Islands is an artillery fort. It has about five sides. There is a fort on each of the three land angles and a half on each sea angle. During the First Anglo-Dutch War, the first incarnation of the fort was built between 1652-3. Little is known about the original structure, and no traces have been found.

The Shetland Museum and Archives is a museum located in Lerwick which opened on May 31, 2007. The museum is located on Hay's Dock, built-in 1815, and classified as a category B Scottish Historic Monument.

Scalloway Castle is a fine ruined castle located in the town of Scalloway Shetland, Scotland.

Jarlshof is an archaeological site located in the south of the Mainland, the Shetland archipelago's main island in Scotland. It is the most important archaeological site in Shetland. It contains remains dating from 2500 BC to the 17th century AD.

Böd of Gremista is located at the northern end of Lerwick in the Shetland Islands, Scotland. It is a typical 18th century Shetland Islands fishing platform (or böd). It is classified as a Class B protected building. 

Fair Isle is an island in the United Kingdom located off Scotland's coast, halfway between Orkney to the southwest and Shetland to the north. It is geographically and politically dependent.

Ronas Hill, or Rönies Hill, is a marilyn and the highest point in the Shetland archipelago, rising to 450 meters above sea level, on Mainland's island. 

Out Stack or Ootsta is an island located in the Shetland Islands in Scotland and is the northernmost point of the United Kingdom and the British Isles.
