Wander the northernmost castle in England in the late 1500s Muness Castle is an excellent example of tower house architecture and full of pleasant touches.
Here it is easy to understand how family, servants, and tourists use the castle's inner space. It was built for Laurence Bruce of Cultmalindie, a prominent figure in the turbulent Shetland Islands. Bruce was accused of being the Shetland Islands people and was portrayed as a hero in some legends.
