Lochgoilhead

Lochgoilhead is a village located on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute in the Scottish Highlands. It is located within Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful sites in Argyll and Scotland. The area is surrounded by several Corbetts in the Arrochar Alps, including Benn Donich, The Brack, and Cnoc Coinnich.

Lochgoilhead has been inhabited for more than 10,000 years.
There are Neolithic sites in the area, including traces of nearby cups and well-preserved corn kilns. The area is related to the history of the Campbell clan, who drove the Lamonts out of the site in the 14th century. Lochgoilhead was once an essential stop on the route between Glasgow and Inverary, as passengers will arrive by boat and continue to take the coach to St Catherine's, where they will board the second boat Crossing Foch Fyne.
