Eriskay is an isle and community council area in the Outer Hebrides in northern Scotland. As of the 2011 census, the island has a population of 143. It is located between South Uist and Barra and is connected to South Uist via a causeway opened in 2001. In the same year, Ceann a'Ghàraidh in Ereiskay became the ferry terminal between South Uist and Barra. The Caledonian MacBrayne car ferry runs between Eriskay and Ardmore in Barra. The transit takes about 40 minutes.
