Falkirk (An Eaglais Bhreac in Scottish Gaelic and Fawkirk in Scots) is a town in Scotland, the council area's administrative capital of the same name and part of the lieutenancy area of Stirling and Falkirk. From 1975 to 1996, it was the administrative capital of the Falkirk district within the Central region. Its population was estimated at 35,168 in 2010.
