The museum and gallery exhibition space managed by the East Lothian Council Museums Service has been created in the historic Dunbar Town House. It was built at the end of the 16th century and is considered the oldest parliament hall in Scotland. They are spanning 400 years of history. The building has recently undergone a 21st-century renovation and is now open to the public. Dunbar and the Launch History Society are located in the building, with exhibition spaces and a local history search room. On the top floor, in addition to the council meeting room, a community room for meetings and events is now provided for the council and community groups, where appointments, public marriages, and other functions can be booked.
