Keiss Beach

Caithness

About

Keiss Village's end on Keiss Beach is rough, although it is also a good place for waterproof otters. The beach passes on a pebble path created by the locals to facilitate access to the beach. You can walk along the coastal way between the old coastal defenses of World War II, along the dunes, or the beach. The coastal defense facilities of World War II were gradually destroyed by nature. The dunes surrounding the concrete defense structure were blown away/washed away, and the anti-tank defense facilities were rolling onto the beach. It is reminiscent that even in this beautiful region in Scotland's northernmost part, the countryside has been and still has been affected by previous conflicts. It will not distract the beautiful scenery and beautiful beaches.
