The gallery is located on Commercial Street in Lerwick, named after Vaila Island in the Shetland Islands on the west side of the Shetland Islands. It has been owned by Dorota and her husband Richard Rowland since 1993. 
The Vaila Fine Art exhibits well-documented artists from the 19th to the 21st century, including contemporary Shetland landscape paintings and British marine artists. All media are represented, including woodblock prints, etchings, watercolors, oil paintings, acrylics, paintings, sculptures, and wood and bronze buildings. Provide local advice on conservation and framing, and provide special committee assistance.
