Kisimul Castle is the only significant surviving medieval castle in the Western Isles, seat of the chiefs of Clan Macneil. In Castlebay, Isle of Barra, reached by small boat from Castlebay (five minute trip, weather permitting). Opening Times: Open Summer only.
