Located in Prestonpans, a village to the East of Edinburgh on the train line to North Berwick, the Prestongrange Museum was originally designated the Scottish Mining Museum until an improved facility was built at the Newtoungrange's Lady Victoria Colliery in MIdlothian. However the museum boasts a good andio-visual
display, a Beam Engine and other attractions from the site of the old coal mine, brickworks and pottery kilns.
