V & A Museum Dundee

Dundee

About

The world’s first V&A museum outside of London and the first dedicated design museum in Scotland’s history, V&A Dundee welcomes you into the world of design and encourages you to explore how to design creativity provocative, original, or breathtaking.
Through permanent displays and ever-changing exhibitions, visitors can experience the extraordinary story of design in the past, present, and future, as well as the important contribution of design to our life. These exhibitions showcase the best designs from all over the world. V&A Dundee, designed by the internationally renowned Japanese architect by Kengo Kuma, stands at the center of the $1 billion renovation project on the Dundee waterfront.
Inspired by the cliffs on the east coast of Scotland, the building extends to the River Tay, reconnecting the city to the historic and beautiful riverfront. This is a significant new cultural development for Scotland and the United Kingdom.
