About

Newton Farm is located 2 miles off the A90, easily accessible by car. The authentic working farm is family managed and run by Graeme and Louise, who offer a number of exciting farm experiences that change with the seasons. Their popular farm tour provides the opportunity to get hands-on with the animals as well as offering a glimpse at daily life.

Newton’s popular standard ‘Farm Tour’ includes the opportunity to meet many of their friendly animals including cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, and Lucy the micropig, as well as the chance to meet to Timmy the vintage tractor and more of Farmer Graeme’s farming ‘toys’. Tours are tailored where possible to individual requests and can be dog-friendly if advised in advance. The experience differs according to season – every day is different at a busy working farm.

Each tour lasts approximately 1-1.5hrs. Additional tours include the ‘Feeding Frenzy’, a feeding time on the farm hands-on tour for ages 5yrs+; ‘Alpacca Walking’, a chance to take an alpaca for a stroll for ages 8yrs+, available year-round outwith lambing season (weather dependant); and the Lambing Special, lamb/kid bottle feeding experience offered from March-May.

Newton’s farm tours are very family friendly; their four-leaf clover hunt, for example, offers children a chance to break free. Picnic tables are available to use.

Please note that this is a genuine working farm, so farm experiences are offered at set times tailored around the farm work and need to be pre-booked. Season-appropriate outdoor clothing is advised, including good walking shoes.
