St Mungos Cathedral

Glasgow

About

St Mungos Cathedral, also known as Glasgow Cathedral, is the oldest building in Glasgow and the oldest Cathedral in Mainland Scotland. It was once the seat of the Archbishop of Glasgow, but after the Scottish reformation, it is now part of the Church of Scotland. The Cathedral was built in the medieval tradition of Cathedrals being built over centuries, with its construction taking place between the 13th and 15th centuries. Today the Cathedral serves as a wonderful place to worship, look at fantastic medieval architecture, and learn the history of Christianity in Scotland.
