Neist Point is one of Scotland's most famous lighthouses and is located at the westernmost tip of Skye, near the township of Glendale. The descent is easy, but the concrete path is sometimes quite steep. From the trail, you will have a breathtaking view of the high cliffs and the lighthouse itself.
At sunset, the sight is even more spectacular, making it a prime destination for landscape photographers. There is only one safe road, so this walk follows the same route to and from the lighthouse. It runs through a distance of 2.2 km, with an average time of 45 minutes (without stops). More time is needed to explore the lighthouse and we recommend taking a few breaks on the way back along the steep trail.
