Inside the House of Dun, you can admire extravagant plasterwork by Joseph Enzer, period furniture, paintings, and hand embroideries by Lady Augusta FitzClarence and actress Dorothy Jordan. Surrounding the grand house, you can discover acres of woodland surrounding the pristine formal gardens and Victorian-style walled garden. The kitchen displays how the house was leading the way for technology, with a clockwork spit making work more manageable for the cook and her staff.
Guided tours run throughout the year, and on the last Sunday of the month between April and September, you can explore the house at your leisure.
The tea room, family picnic area, and playground make the House of Dun a perfect destination for a family day out!
