Hailes Castle

Hailes Castle is a significant 14th-century castle located about a mile and a half southwest of East Linton, East Lothian, Scotland. The castle’s riverside environment is beautiful, and it belonged to the Hepburn family for the most important years of its existence. Since 1926, it has been the target of a state-sponsored guardianship agreement, which the Historic Environment Scotland now sponsors as a planned monument.
It is free and open to the public at all reasonable times.
