Glenmore is a National Nature Reserve managed by Camping in the Forest, in partnership with the Forestry Commission, and includes Glenmore Forest Park.
It's a haven for wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts. Look out for some of the small but beautiful plants that are specialists in the pine forest, such as twinflower and one-flowered wintergreen, or enjoy the fragrant carpet of needles under the ancient jack pines. Red squirrels, crossbills, and crested titmice can be found here, and the forest is often alive with birdsong.
Glenmore offers walking, cycling, orienteering, cross-country skiing, and bird watching in the forest, while water sports, fishing, and sailing are available on Loch Morlich. There is a camping and caravan site and a visitor center.
