Dean Castle and Country Park is the perfect place for a family outing. Dean Castle was upheld and inhabited by the Boyd family for over 400 years, who had famous historical connections to Robert the Bruce, James III of Scotland, Bonnie Prince Charlie, and more. Although the stunning 14th-century Castle is currently under restoration, a fantastic collection of artifacts, including arms and armour and early musical instruments, are on display at the nearby Dick Institute for you to enjoy. For Outlander fans, visiting Dean Castle and Country Park is a must. The castle and estate was used as a filming location in Season 2 of the hit TV series!
