The renaissance of the Burrell Collection gives us the opportunity to re-display and reinterpret this wonderful collection, and will reveal many new stories about individual objects. When the museum reopens, more than a third of the gallery space will allow us to display important and unique objects that have not been seen in decades or have never been permanently displayed. The ambitious renovation project will allow visitors to explore all three floors of the building for the first time, including galleries, visible shops and special exhibition spaces. Complete dining facilities will encourage all park users to stop and taste this magnificent collection. The structure of the building is being improved and entrances have been added to improve access and direction. A dedicated learning and education center will provide unprecedented opportunities to learn about the collection and provide technologies to better connect and interact with the exhibited objects.
