Shambellie House is a Victorian country house designed by Scottish architect David Bryce for the Stewart family in 1856. Charles William Stewart's father inherited Shambellie House before World War II. In 1976, Charles W. Stewart handed over the clothing collection he had accumulated to the Royal Museum of Scotland and handed over the Stanberry House to the Ministry of Environment.
