Bothwell Castle
Glasgow

About
Bothwell Castle is a medieval Scottish castle, now in ruins, situated on a hill near the River Clyde. It is located in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, between Uddingston and Bothwell, about 10 miles southeast of Glasgow.
Bothwell is one of the two castles (the other being Craignethan) that served as Walter Scott's model for Tillietudlem Castle in the historical novel The Puritans of Scotland.
Come and see Bothwell's spectacular location on a winding curve of the River Clyde.
