Almond Valley Heritage Center

Linlithgow

About

A family museum on a peaceful riverside site, with woodland and fields stretching for nearly a mile. The traditional farm buildings and working water mill are home to many friendly farm animals, including upland cattle, rare breed sheep, and Clydesdale horses.
There is a daily program of activities, including milking demonstrations and handling sessions, that allow you to become familiar with the various residents of the farm.
The museum houses exhibits and interactive displays that illustrate local history and tell the story of the Scottish shale oil industry. There are indoor and outdoor play areas to keep children entertained and a simulated archaeological dig, trampolines, go-karts, tractor, trailer rides, and a narrow-gauge railway.
