Speyside Heather Centre

Strathspey

About

The Speyside Centre started under the name Skye Landscapes in 1972. When David, Betty, and their two sons Craig and Iain, came to the north, David decided to resign as the landscape painter of Glasgow City Council and fell in love with Glasgow and then established his own company.
Visit the area during the visit.

They lived in the caravan for three years, and David did some landscaping work until he was able to buy the Skye of Curr and opened a store there with Betty.

David had a keen interest in the famous heather plant in Scotland and sold it on-site, while Betty set up a small tea room, a table, and two benches, which may be the smallest in Scotland Tea room! Visitors began to request other plant materials, so they started to create a small plant center, which was later expanded to "The Speyside Heather Centre."
