McCaigs Tower is a landmark in the resort town of Orban in the Argyll region, where local banker John Stuart McCaig works. The tower was built in 1897 to make it a permanent monument to the McCaig family and to provide jobs for local masons.
Climbing from the town center to McCaigs Tower is well worth trying when facing the spectacular Oban Bay to the Atlantic Islands. The garden in the tower finds a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of town life in Orban.
