Corgarff Castle is located in the Strathdon region of Aberdeenshire in northern Scotland. Throughout history, the castle has generally been of strategic importance, initially protecting Deeside and Speyside's road and the military route from Blairgowrie and Rattray to Fort George. Due to its location, Corgarff Castle has a turbulent and sometimes tragic history.
