A Bed and Breakfast in Skye
Welcome to our friendly bed and breakfast in Earlish on the Northern most peninsula of Skye about 12 miles North of the capital - Portree.
The property is owned and run by Angus who was educated on Skye and now works on the Island.
Lighthouse Cottage is located on the A87 road from Portree to Uig where the ferries leave for the Western Isles. The cottage is a traditional croft house some 110 years old. It has had modernisation over the years and maintains a great deal of character. Views from the breakfast table look out over Loch Snizort and onward to the mountains of Harris on the Western Isles.
We are just 20 minutes, by car, North of Portree and a 15 minute walk into Uig where there are pubs, eateries, the local brewery, post office, pottery and shops.
Skye offers spectacular attractions - The Old Man of Storr, The Quirang, The Cullin Mountains, The Fairy Pools, Talisker Distillery, Dunvegan Castle, Neist Point Light House, The Three Chimneys Restaurant and much more.

The Private House Stay's Guide
Skye is one of Scotland's most popular tourist destinations for outdoor pursuits, wildlife and visitor attractions. The most popular destination is the Cuillins, the greatest concentration of peaks in Britain. They provide some of Scotland's best climbing and have become a mecca for all serious and experienced walkers. Equally spectacular are the bizarre rock formations of the Trotternish Peninsula. Major attractions include Dunvegan Castle, Armadale Castle, The Museum of the Isles and the Museum of Island Life. Kyleakin is a good base from which to hire a moped or bicycle for exploring Skye.
