Madeira got its name because for hundreds of years sailors came to this part of the coast just inland and found that the climate reminded them of the island of Madeira. It truly has its own micro climate allowing fruit trees including figs, kiwi and walnuts to flourish.
The cottages sleep between 2 and 4 people and are fully equipped. Baby equipment can be provided free of charge. Breakfast is provided in the cottages fridge for you to cook yourselves. This includes sausages, bacon, eggs, tomato, mushrooms, bread, milk and cereals.
The village of Pittenweem is a 10 minute walk away down a safe path and has pubs, shops and art galleries to browse round. The harbour is particularly pretty and is one of the last working fishing harbours on the coast.
Two miles down the road you can find the pretty village of Anstruther with its famous fish and chip shop. St Andrews, Crail, Elie and St Monans too are all within easy reach.
All elements needed to cook your own breakfast will be left in the fridge prior to your arrival.
