Perth is the largest town of the essentially rural area of Perthshire and is located at the Southern end of the main Northern artery of the A9 and an hour from Edinburgh. It is an attractive city that is home to the spectacular Scone Palace and an enthusiatic horse racing venue and a good base from which to explore the gardens, and wonderful natural features that abound in the Perthshire countryside. The area to the East and West of the M90 Motorway that leads from the Firth of Forth to Perth city is called Kinross.
