There are two highly recommended Bird watching locations close to the East Neuk villages: The Isle of May which is accessed via a boat trip rom Anstruther and the Tentmuir National Nature reserve on the East coast above St Andrews, east of Tayport. The latter is also famous for its wild flowers.
