Hill Walking in Wester RossGruinard Bay
Wester Ross may be one of the more remote areas of Scotland to get to but it is well worth the effort and a mecca to Walkers and wild-life watchers. The Area includes Beinn Eighe, Britain's first Nature reserve, Britains highest road across the mountains to Applecross and some of the most spectacular Scottish mountain and loch scenery you will find anywhere along the Wester Ross coastal trail. This is definitely an area which it is recommended that you spend some time as there are many single track roads and you really should have very little desire to get anywhere too quickly as stopping to admire the views is essential.
The Hill walking in Wester Ross is considered to be as good as anywhere in Scotland. The most famous location is the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve but other recommended walks are: Flowerdale Forest and Waterfall, Slaggan Village and Bay, Victoria Falls, Fairy Lochs, USAAF Crash Site and War Grave, Gruinard River to Loch na Sealga, Loch Toll an Lochan, Red Point to Lower Diabaig, Stac Pollaidh, Tollie to Slattadale, Corrie Hallie to Loch na Sealga, Poca Buidhe through Flowerdale Forest and The Peak of Suilven
