National Museum of Flight

Edinburgh and Lothians

About

The National Museum of Flight is Scotland's national aviation museum, located at the East Fortune Airfield south of the East Fortune Village in Scotland. It is one of the museums in the National Museum of Scotland. The museum is located in the Royal Air Force East Fortune's original wartime building, which is a well-preserved World War II airport. Therefore, the entire site is a predetermined ancient monument, and the museum has not added any permanent buildings. The hangar, control tower, and shop were designated as B-listed buildings by Historic Scotland, but they were deleted in 2013 due to stricter dispatching plans.
