Maclellan\'s Castle is the remains of a late 16th century noble residence that demonstrates how architecture evolved from the heavily defended tower house to a new more domestic, if grand, scale. Opening arrangements: Summer - 1 April - 30 September, Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun, 9.30 am to 5.30 pm, October - 1 October - 31 October, Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun, 9.30 am to 4.30 pm Admission prices: Summer - Adult £3.70, Child £1.85, Concession £3.00
