The house is located on a hillside one and a half-mile south of Cooper, Fife. It is situated in 40 acres (160,000 square meters) of gardens and 279 acres (1.13 square kilometers) of open real estate. This includes woodland, parkland, farmland, and open-air wasteland with a wide view. They showcase Lorimer's original design and furnishings and are open to the public with tea rooms and shops. Visitors can see the most advanced accommodation environment of the Sharp family and glimpse the servant's "downstairs" life. There is also a 9-hole golf ground, which has been restored, as players can compete with original pecan clubs and softer rubber-wrapped balls in the Edwardian style.
