The visit begins with an excellent exhibition which is situated on the Old Malting Floors. You will then be met by your guide and taken out on tour round the production area of the distillery where you will learn how to make the water of life. To finish your tour you are welcomed into the bar for a dram of Glenkinchie 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky. Opening Times: January to Easter: Mon - Fri: 12noon - 4pm, Easter to October: Mon - Sat: 10am - 5pm, Sun: 12noon - 5pm, November: Mon - Sun: 12noon - 4pm, December: Mon - Fri: 12noon - 4pm

Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland but is a third of the population of Glasgow. Perversely the city has no motorway access to the South and since the local transport links are excellent the city and surrounding area can easily be accessed without a car, arriving by train or plane. The highest concentration of Scotland's major attractions are found within the city and surrounding area - Edinburgh being the top tourist destination in Britain outside of London because its attractions are mostly concentrated in a central area.
