The Edinburgh Tattoo has featured performers from over 40 countries over the years and around 35 per cent of the 217,000 audience each year are from overseas. It is nearly always brilliantly organised and the espanade of Edinburgh Castle provides a wonderfully atmospheric backdrop to the marching bands, dancing and sound and light spectaculars that
feature in the show. Some tickets are always kept back for sale at the ticket office first thing in the morning. A must see.
