This wooded glen provides spectacular walks to Castle Campbell and on to the Ochils. Dollar Glen has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of its range of wildlife habitats and important geological features. Castle Campbell (operated by Historic Scotland) offers disabled parking close to the Castle. Take care during or after rain as the paths can be dangerous. The glen is dominated by and home to the spectacular 15th-century Castle Campbell. There is an admission charge to Castle Campbell unless you are a National Trust for Scotland or Historic Scotland member.

Central & Stirling

The Stirling and Falkirk areas are littered with ancient battlefields from the time when Scotland was not considered worthwhile to conquer any further North than Stirling. Falkirk itself has little to offer other than Callendar park and the extraordinary Falkirk Wheel whereas Stirling has much more to entertain the tourist with the slight drawback that many of its key attractions are spread out around the city and thus are easiest accessed by car
