Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park & Greenock Cut covers a large area. From Greenock in the north, down the coast to Largs and West Kilbride and inland to Dalry and Lochwinnoch. One of the top 50 walks in Scotland. The Greenock Cut, a 5.5 mile aqueduct, with sluice gates, bridges and locks is a designated ancient monument. Combining the Cut and the Overton track makes for a fantastic and reasonably level circular walk with wonderful views over the Firth of Clyde and the hills beyond. Walk anti-clockwise for the best views.

The Private House Stay's Guide
Glasgow & Around
Glasgow is a sprawling cosmopolitan city that was much bombed in the Second World War but has brazenly added many impressive modern buildings in between the gaps of the Victorian heart. Glasgow is considered to be the friendliest of Britain's large cities and is often described as European in character; for the diversity of its architecture, the accessibility of its art, and for the optimism and openness of its people. There is much to find in Glasgow as befits an ex-European City of Culture. There are more than 70 parks, from Glasgow Green in the East End to Kelvingrove Park in the West End.
