Camperdown Country Park is the largest public park in Dundee and owes its name and fame to the victory of Admiral Adam Duncan over the Dutch fleet in 1797 at the Battle of Camperdown, off the Dutch coast. The park which is home to no fewer than 190 species of trees, was opened to the public in 1949. The park serves as a backdrop for a variety of special events taking place throughout the year:

Dundee & Angus
Dundee and Angus is an area of natural fertility and wealth generation that stretches back to the very earliest Scottish settlements as evidenced by the abundance of Pictish and otherother ancient sites that litter the area. Dundee's wealth was much built on the Jute trade as much as the productive farmland and today is the centre of many of Scotland's high-tech industries with the exposure to the North Sea giving a wonderful freshness to the atmosphere. The Angus Glens are also as beautiful as any part of the Cairngorms and pleasantly accessible and southern facing
