The Cairngorm Sleddog Centre is the only daily working sleddog centre in the UK and one of only 5 in Europe. A range of daily tours are offered, including a kennel visit where visitors can see the 30 huskies being fed and trained and also learn about the history of dog-sledding. There are short daytime and evening trips, where you can experience being pulled by the dogs, and for the more adventurous there’s a three-hour sled-dog safari (£150 per person) that includes helping to prepare the dogs, ‘mushing’ through the forest in a specially adapted buggy and enjoying a brew deep in the woods.

Strathspey
The Strathspey area strictly speaking includes the whole Spey valley as it runs North-East From the North-west corner of the Cairngorms through the whisky trail towns of Aberlour and Fochabers. However the classicly beautiful and most commonly visited part of Strathspey is the area from Aviemore through Grantown-on-Spey and Boat of Garden. David Attenborough described this part of Scotland as one of his favourite parts of the world.
