A noted icon of Orkney?s rich archaeological heritage, the Broch of Gurness is one of the most outstanding surviving examples of a later prehistoric (Iron-Age) settlement that is unique to northern Scotland. Opening arrangements & costs: 1 April - 30 September Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun 9.30 am to 5.30 pm 1 October - 31 October Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun 9.30 am to 4.30 pm Admission Prices: All year Adult £4.70, Child £2.35, Concession £3.70 Last ticket sold 30 min before closing time. A guided tour will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 14:00.
