Borgh Pottery was established in 1974 as Stornoway Pottery. The workshop and showroom moved to their present premises in Borve in 1978 and later became known as Borgh Pottery. For a small pottery, there is a wide range of glaze colour and finish, from gloss to matt. Their pots are all hand-thrown or hand-built using traditional techniques. The showroom is the sole outlet for the pottery and is open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 6.00pm.

Outer Hebrides
The Outer Hebrides are the last bastion of the old Highland life. Though newer industries such as fish farming have been introduced, the traditional occupations of crofting, fishing and weaving still dominate, and outside Stornoway on Lewis (the only decent-sized town in the islands) life is very much a traditional one, revolving around the seasons and the tides. Do not expect too many tourist attractions but still it is still a fascinating place for a glimpse of an ancient culture and a quiet peacefulness.
