Set slightly back from the main road in Aberdour, the church is situated within a precinct which is slightly higher than the level of the road. The precinct is fronted by a flat coped rubble wall topped with iron railings, with an iron gate in the centre. A war memorial was inserted into the principal elevation in 1919. The church was converted into the church hall in 1926, when St. Fillan's was restored. There is a graveyard located to the back of the church.

    Dunfermline Area

The Western part of Fife is not the most attractive area in Scotland being an area that used to be dominated by coal mining and other related industry but accommodation in the area in convenient for access to Edinburgh, the Knockhill race track is a draw for petrol-heads, the Palace and Abbey in Dunfermline is a major attraction and Aberdour is an attractive village to visit.
