The Watermill is situated on the Cowal Way walk, a very quiet single track road, set in 5 acres of mature woodlands and makes for a very quiet, relaxing atmosphere, in our very comfortable rooms. The original design enables the modern day accommodation to have a real sense of separation, each element of the building having its own entrance. For those staying in the Sarah Kirkpatrick and Janet Crawford suites, a sense of adventure is immediately apparent when entering the house via the turret as you climb the spiral stairs past all Michael Webster's sailing memorabilia. For those who aren't so mobile the Joiner's shop presents a much less challenging approach, through its own door at the front of the building. All three Bed and Breakfast rooms are well-appointed, and provide an exceptional level of
comfort all round. Two of the bedrooms are very spacious, and have extra beds for children. All bedrooms are en-suite. An evening meal can be served by prior arrangement. Tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms. A comfortable lounge with Sky TV is available for guests.

I have selected the properties on Private House Stays for their individuality that results from being privately owned. They take many forms from bed and breakfasts to small hotels but in each case it is the marque of the owner that sets it apart. This may be the charm of the furnishings, the wholesome home cooking or simply the atmosphere created by a charismatic host. I have inspected most of the establishments listed here and feel sure you will enjoy staying in them too.
Remember - booking through Private House Stays is free of charge.
