Excellent food, quality accommodation, and a personal touch from the Cash Family come as standard in this beautiful, listed Georgian former manse, on the shoreline of the Ardnamurchan peninsula, looking across to Mull. The house - built in 1790 - has a Country House Houseparty atmosphere and the extensive grounds and surrounding small holding provide blissful tranquillity. The restaurant has an informal, but luxurious, atmosphere and provides interesting modern Scottish cooking, assisted by an abundance of fresh local ingredients, many of which (including meat, vegetables, salads, fruits & herbs!) come from Meall Mo Chridhe's own 45 acre smallholding. Guests are welcome to wander around the vegetable garden and onwards to explore the ruined church, beyond which is the "little hill of
my heart", with its panoramic views, for which Meall Mo Chridhe is named. Open - All year except for Christmas and New Year, with a 4 course set dinner menu created daily around seasonally available ingredients. Our small size means that prior booking is essential.

I have selected the properties on Private House Stays for their individuality that results from being privately owned. They take many forms from bed and breakfasts to small hotels but in each case it is the marque of the owner that sets it apart. This may be the charm of the furnishings, the wholesome home cooking or simply the atmosphere created by a charismatic host. I have inspected most of the establishments listed here and feel sure you will enjoy staying in them too.
Remember - booking through Private House Stays is free of charge.
