Loch Eye House is set in a lovely, secluded area of unspoilt Easter Ross countryside between the Dornoch and Cromarty Firths. The house overlooks Loch Eye with wonderful formal gardens in between. Loch Eye House is well placed for access to the Royal Burgh of Tain, one of Scotland’s oldest historic towns. Tain has plenty of character and history and is a wonderful place to visit. It also has most of the daily requirements with good shops and a supermarket, banks and professional services as well as primary and secondary schools. Easter Ross is renowned for its excellent all year round recreational opportunities with fine grouse and pheasant shooting, deer stalking and fishing on some of Scotland’s best known salmon rivers. There are 7 excellent golf courses within easy reach, including the famous championship course at Royal Dornoch. Boat trips, sea fishing and dolphin watching trips are also available. There is a mainline railway station at Inverness providing frequent services to Perth and Aberdeen, and the A9(T) road is within easy reach. The local village, Hill of Fearn (1 mile) also has a railway station that runs on the Inverness to Wick and Thurso line. Inverness Airport provides numerous flights to London and other destinations and is approximately 40 minutes drive from the house.

    Ross and Cromarty

Ross and Cromarty is the area North of Inverness that includes the Black Isle. Although the Black Isle is most famous for its Dolphins and for birdwatching, there is a wonderful freshness and closeness to nature that the cromarty firth brings to the area with all the rivers and estuary run-offs. As you travel West on the A835, you come across the rogie falls and other wonderful natural landscape features on the road to Ullapool - greatly recommended for liesurely driving and stopping to admire the views.
