The Private House Stay's Guide
Ross and Cromarty
Ross and Cromarty is the area North of Inverness that includes the Black Isle. Although the Black Isle is most famous for its Dolphins and for birdwatching, there is a wonderful freshness and closeness to nature that the cromarty firth brings to the area with all the rivers and estuary run-offs. As you travel West on the A835, you come across the rogie falls and other wonderful natural landscape features on the road to Ullapool - greatly recommended for liesurely driving and stopping to admire the views.
