Gilmore House is a delightful traditional detached late Victorian family home was built in 1899. Decorated in rich warm fabrics and furnishings, with original pitch pine doors and staircase, Gilmore House has a relaxed, comfy, informal, homely and warm ambience. Having only three bedrooms you can be guaranteed personal, friendly and unobtrusive service. There are two lounges for guests, the extremely spacious downstairs lounge and halfway up the stairs the delightful sun lounge, with fantastic views over open countryside. The deceptively spacious Bed and Breakfast has three comfortable, well decorated and furnished en-suite bedrooms, one double (1 bed), one twin (2 beds) and one super-king (1 bed). All rooms have central heating with thermostatically controlled

I have selected the properties on Private House Stays for their individuality that results from being privately owned. They take many forms from bed and breakfasts to small hotels but in each case it is the marque of the owner that sets it apart. This may be the charm of the furnishings, the wholesome home cooking or simply the atmosphere created by a charismatic host. I have inspected most of the establishments listed here and feel sure you will enjoy staying in them too.
Remember - booking through Private House Stays is free of charge.
